Pumpkin Bread: Release the Pumpkin Spice!


One of the greatest things about this bread is that you can have it for Breakfast, Dessert or even just a snack! You should immediately unfriend anyone who tells you otherwise because you don't need that negativity in your life.

Servings: Makes 2 (8x4) Bread Loaves

Bake Time: 55-65 Minutes


Ingredients:


  • 2 Cups Sugar

  • Sticks of of Butter at room temperature

  • 8 Tbsp of unsweetened Applesauce (or 2 Eggs)

  • 1 (15-oz) can of Pumpkin. I prefer fresh pumpkin but canned is fine.

  • 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour

  • 1 Tbsp Milk

  • 1 Tsp Ground Saigon Cinnamon (Trust me, it's amazing)

  • 1 Tsp Ground Nutmeg

  • 1 Tsp Ground Cloves

  • ¼ Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • ½ Tsp Baking Powder

  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda

  • 1 Tsp salt

  • ½ Cup of Crushed Pecans (optional)

 

Directions:


  1. Preheat the oven to 325°

  2. Blend Sugar and Butter in a mixing bowl until creamy. Add the Applesauce

  3. In a separate bowl, mix the raw Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Pumpkin Pie Spice, Nutmeg and Cloves until well combined. Then, beat in the Milk until creamy.

  4. In another bowl, sift together Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Salt, and any Crushed Nuts.

  5. Add the Pumpkin mixture to the Sugar mixture and stir until combined.

  6. Next, add dry ingredients and blend.

  7. Butter and lightly flour two 8x4 inch bread pans.

  8. Pour batter into loaf pans, spread evenly and bake 55-65 minutes. Allow bread to cool before transferring.

  9. Serve with vanilla ice cream!
