Brown Sugar Baked Chicken
"And believe me, a good piece of chicken can make anybody believe in the existence of God." -Sherman Alexie
It's best to use a Cast-iron baking pan.
This pairs great with my Mashed Potato recipe
Don't mess this up, it's easy...
4 (7oz - 8oz) skinless Chicken Breasts
3 Tbsp. Olive Oil
4 ½ Tbsp. Brown Sugar
1 ½ Tbsp. Chili Powder
1 Tbsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Parsley Flakes
1 Tsp. Black Pepper
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tsp. Onion Powder
1 Tsp. Cumin
Preheat oven to 425°F
Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick spray or use a cast-iron baking pan.
Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of parchment paper and use a meat mallet or rolling pin to pound it to an even thickness.
Next, rub both sides of the chicken with olive oil
In a small bowl, combine all of the seasonings and sprinkle evenly over both sides of the chicken.
Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes
Remove from oven, cover with foil and let it sit for 5-10 before slicing.
Pour any extra juices over the top.
