Chewy Chocolate Brownies!

Get your sweet tooth ready! These Brownies are so delicious they should be illegal. #Brownies #Chocolate #SweetTreat #BakedDesserts

"All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt" -Charles M. Schulz

This has to be one of the easiest recipes that is not only delicious but will also have your entire house smelling like chocolate dessert!

Cooking Tips:

  1. Don't go cheap on the Cocoa! Having high quality main ingredients is key to flavor and texture. My favorite is 'Divine' which you can find at most grocery stores.

  2. Always use good quality butter and bakeware. Also, sift your dry ingredients such as flour, sugar, salt, etc. This will break up any lumps and make it easier to mix into other ingredients.

  3. This will take a total of about 30 minutes, that's enough time to listen to 3-4 songs by 'Queen'; or if you have kids, half of a 'Cocomelon' episode.

  4. If you like nuts in your Brownies, add ½ a cup when you add the chocolate chips.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ Cup of White Sugar

  • 1 ½ Tsp of Vanilla Extract

  • 1 Cup of Chocolate Chips (I prefer Milk Chocolate Chips but you do you)

  • ¾ Cup of Flour

  • ¾ Cup of Cocoa

  • ¾ Cup of Butter (Melted)

  • ¾ Cup of Unsweetened Applesauce (3 eggs if your spouse isn't allergic)

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F

  • In a medium mixing bowl, stir the Sugar into the melted Butter.

  • Next, whisk in your Applesauce (or eggs) and Vanilla.

  • Sift Flour and Cocoa together and stir to combine.

  • Lightly dust the Chocolate Chips in flour and add them to the mixture (This prevents the Chocolate Chips from sinking to the bottom of the mixture).

  • Next, lightly dust a baking dish with flour or line with parchment paper.

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes and allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!
